To have such expensive wheel with expensive additional pedals, and to be able to use it properly i have to almost "turn-off" the FFB.Ĭan somebody help me with that? And also recommend FFB settings for Dirt 4? THank you so much Only when you touch the kerb or go outside the track, you can slightly feel the FFB. You can only feel very slight vibrations but not FFB really. but if its 65 or lower, to FFB is so weak, that it feels like there is no FFB at all. So it looks like my problems with the very loud fan begin if i set the FFB strenght in control panel from 65-70 up. I tried another testing yesterday with Project Cars and Dirt 4 and i set the FFB in control panel to 60 and spring and damper to 0 as some suggested and after 40-50 minutes it was still ok. And i would make get over it, but i am making videos for my youtube community and i cannot record with such crazy loud wheel, because the mic will pick the noise and the sound is bad even after heavy editing. Even with racing with headset on, i hear the wheel more than the game. After few minutes of racing with FFB on 70 or higher or after like 30-40 minutes with FFB set to 60 or lower the fan goes crazy and is loud as jet plane (if it is the fan, which i think it is). Not the FFB or the wheel turning like with some other wheels but the fan. This wheel is probably good with right FFB setup, but it is extremely loud. # STEERING CENTER FORCE = 100 % for all wheelsįell free to share our settings to the racing communityI've been using my old Logitech MOMO wheel for a very long time and it died so i thought it really is time to get something new and better and after long though i decided to go with T300RS with T3PA-Pro pedals. # WHEEL FRICTION = 0% for T150 & T500 - 15 % for T300 & TX (keeping low the Wheel Friction setting is important to avoid not natural friction on the wheel) You can increase this setting (not too much to avoid wheel clipping) for old cars with big rotation angle or for ice tracks or snow tracks. You can reduce this setting (not too much to keep related effects) for recent cars with small rotation angle or for dirt tracks.Self Aligning Torque is one of the most important setting. To optimize the general feeling, you can try these settings: Remark: To match the same ratio as the cockpit view go to OPTIONS / PREFENCES / COCKPIT DRIVER & WHEEL then select WHEEL ONLYĪbout the Force Feedback, go to OPTIONS / CONTROLS / VIBRATION & FEEDBACK Once the process is completed, the wheel Lock will be automatically adjusted to your cars. Oh, but there is the issue of Pikes Peak. ![]() Both were terrible the first go around then much better when I went back to them. Funny thing is that I was the same way with Colin McRae 2.0 and then Colin McRae 04 back in the day. Played through a good bit of SRLE, some PCars and Assetto Corsa, but pulled Dirt Rally down to show my nephew the other day and was surprised how much easier it was this time (it really really begs for an external handbrake though). I had a terrible time the first few goes at the game and put it up on the shelf. I find the Vibration at 100% and tweaking FFB strength usually works well (Assetto Corsa is of couse a bit different). I get that a vintage race car on really big tires with manual steering will be heavy at slow speeds, but most games feel artificially heavy to me. To be honest, I find most games to be too heavy with FFB. From What I recall, I went with these recommended settings and then tweaked the weight a bit as notes in the article: I have a TMX (T150 equivalent), so I can give you what I have, but probably won't get to look at it until at least tomorrow.
